The Department of Neurosurgery of Japan Bangladesh Friendship Hospital provides specialized evaluation and surgical care for conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, spine, and peripheral nerves. The department focuses on accurate diagnosis, appropriate surgical intervention, and comprehensive patient care.

The department evaluates and manages a wide range of conditions, including brain tumors, head injuries, spinal disc herniation, spinal stenosis, spinal cord compression, hydrocephalus, intracranial hemorrhage, nerve compression, and other neurosurgical disorders. Diagnostic investigations, including CT scans, MRI, X-rays, and neurological assessments, are utilized according to clinical requirements.

Neurosurgical services are provided by Dr. Md. Mahabub Hossain, Dr. Md. Rashidul Hasan, and Dr. Md. Sharif Bhuiyan.
